Welcome to Dispatches, my return to blogging in around four years.
The title of the blog came from my regular column on Anime Pilipinas, called Dispatches, of which I do write if I have the time to write it. The original plan for that column was to write either on a weekly or on a fortnightly basis, but because we were all busy, the editing of the blog took more time than its intended release dates, and somehow, the contents become a bit stale, old news, in Filipino, “panis”.
So , I have decided to yes, move Dispatches to my own site again, and this time, back as my overall outlet for all things about my work as a journalist, my musings about anime, and some bits and bobs of my personal life, especially now that the Coronavirus pandemic has wrecked havoc on all our lives.
On this blog, you will hear me viewpoints on a lot of issues, from media, anime, journalism, and even bits and pieces of my personal life. I will try to make this more regular, I hope.
What about my column on Anime Pilipinas? Well it will continue, I will just have to find the time and frequency to do it, and those content will remain on that site. The difference here is that some of my original posts on Facebook will be also seen here, under the category “First on Facebook”, that way, you guys won’t be shortchanged on the posts that I post both on the blog and on FB. But as much as possible, I will post major things first, then crosslink it on my FB, Twitter and other socials.
So yes, hope you allow me to send my regular dispatches from the field. I hope you learn something from my life.
